As actors and as a couple, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are pretty great. They also happen to be very good at social media, and when you put the two of them together, you get fire. The pair have a long history of trolling each other across various social platforms, often in hilarious ways. Case in point: Lively recently revealed visually intriguing pics from a photo shoot for her new movie A Simple Favor, in which she's in a bit of a risque situation. It did not take long for Ryan Reynolds to leave a comment. Check out Lively's post below.
Blake Lively stars alongside Anna Kendrick in A Simple Favor, a mystery thriller in which the former plays a woman with a perfect life on the surface, but hides plenty of secrets. The movie has gotten generally positive reviews, and both Lively and Kendrick have gotten praise for their performances. Now, Lively has teased her work by sharing a photo in which she's standing between the legs of a naked man who is holding a martini. That's an assumption on my part, given the glass, and the fact that this just feels like a martini situation.
Obviously, there are some implications here, and it didn't take long for Blake Lively's real-life husband to leave a comment. Here's what he said:
He seems nice.
That's literally all that Ryan Reynolds said, but that's all he needed to. At the end of the day, one would want the naked martini-holding guy with one's wife to be nice, among other things. Otherwise, it's just kind of a bummer, right?
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are worthy nominees for the Funniest Couple in Hollywood crown. Their playful trolling across the internet creates entertainment for the rest of us. For example, there was the time Lively said that her husband loves Hugh Jackman more than he loves her, or the time that Reynolds directly trolled his wife's movie, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, in the trailer for Deadpool 2.
As fans of the couple may know, the two of them met while filming Green Lantern, which is arguably one of the only good things to come out of that movie. (The other being endless material for Deadpool gags.) They've since started a family together, raising two little girls, and the two actors have figured out a routine wherein only one will work on a film project at a time, while the other tags along and takes care of the kids while on set. Although those kids were hopefully out of the room during that photo shoot.
Maybe it's only a matter of time until Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are in another movie together, but you can currently see Lively in A Simple Favor which is out in theaters right now.
