See The First Look At Bad Boys 3
Bad Boys, Bad Boys, what they gonna do? Come for you! Bad Boys stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have stuck to their word and are finally working on the third film in their action-comedy franchise. Check out the first look below!
The boys are back together on the set of Bad Boys for Life! Will Smith took to Instagram to share this sleek visual of the pair donning Miami PD badges as Detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey in the long-awaited sequel.
While fans had to wait eight years between 1995’s Bad Boys and the 2003 sequel, it’s now been 16 years since Bad Boys II was released, and it’s safe to assume that at this point, a lot of folks didn’t believe we’d get a third movie.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have been talking up Bad Boys for Life for quite some time and it’s been confirmed to be in development for three years. As of two weeks ago, production has officially begun for Bad Boys for Life, right on schedule to make its January 2020 release.
The Bad Boys stars kicked off the start of production by watching the first two films together after sharing a stack of scripts with the moniker Bad Boys for Lif3 as the title a week before.
The action flick was written by Chris Bremner, Joe Carnahan, David Guggenheim and Anthony Tambakis, and will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah. The first two films were helmed by Michael Bay, Bad Boys being the Transformer director’s first full-length feature.
Bad Boys for Life will reportedly follow Miami PD’s elite AMMO team on its mission to bring down a drug cartel led by a villain named Armando Armas (played by Jacob Scipio). Will Smith’s Mike Lowrey life is threatened by Armas, along with dealing with the fact that his former girlfriend Rita (Paola Nuñez) is head of his unit. That's awkward.

It’s a miracle Will Smith has been able to carve out Bad Boys for Life into his schedule with his recent work as Genie in the live-action Aladdin and Ang Lee’s Gemini Man. Since the actor's been delayed from reprising his role as Deadshot in Suicide Squad 2 in light of James Gunn coming on board to write and direct, Smith has actually freed up his schedule to shoot Bad Boys for Life and Bright 2 for Netflix.
Bad Boys for Life will reunite actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence on the big screen when it comes to theaters on January 17, 2020, the same day as The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, starring Robert Downey Jr.
