How John Krasinski Celebrated Starting A Quiet Place Part II
John Krasinksi has been a busy man in recent years, showing his face all over Amazon Prime with Jack Ryan while working on the surprise hit A Quiet Place. He’s next back for A Quiet Place Part II and production has finally started on the upcoming flick. So, naturally, as a man who is good about pushing his projects, John Krasinski celebrated the first day of production with a special take.
John Krasinksi actually shared a look at A Quiet Place 2, and he shared a look at the very first take preparing to film for the upcoming sequel -- and you can even see the Part II title stylization.
A few weeks ago, Paramount seemingly had confirmed the movie had gone into production, but we’d seen nothing from the set of the horror sequel in the time since. I’m not sure if there was a delay or if some wires got crossed and “production” simply meant pre-production a few weeks ago. Regardless of what happened, the cameras are definitely rolling now, folks, and John Krasinski is now ready to celebrate production.
A Quiet Place Part II has been greenlighted for some time. Paramount Pictures said “yes” to turning the horror original into more of a franchise after the surprise success of the first movie, which features a family hiding from monsters that react to sound.
As far as A Quiet Place 2 goes, we do know a bit about the movie. First and foremost, newcomer to the franchise Bryan Tyree Henry has said the sequel will go into the past and what brought the monsters into the universe in the first place.
John Krasinski has also said the sequel is “not really a sequel at all,” which kind of just makes me even more excited for the upcoming project.
We first learned the director had started work on A Quiet Place Part II about 10 months ago; at the time, he was just tinkering with an idea. Yet, a few months later, we’d learned a little bit about the project and John Krasinksi himself had announced its March 20, 2020 release date.

Since then, we’ve learned more about the cast, which will include the aforementioned name and Cillian Murphy, to name a few. Krasinski's wife Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe are also expected to return for the new movie.
It’s cool that John Krasinksi is so hands-on with this universe, and now that production has started, hopefully there will be more to look forward to in the coming months. For now, take a look at our movies schedule to see what all is coming before the end of the year.
