Kevin James' Beard Has Gotten Even More Out Of Control For New Adam Sandler Netflix Movie
After the success of Adam Sandler’s Netflix comedy Murder Mystery, it seems like it was only a matter of time before things got a bit out of control. Sure enough, they have, only in the very particular circumstance that is Kevin James’ beard.
Don’t take our word for it though, as you can see just how much Kevin James’ facial hair has grown, courtesy of his social media posting below:
While Kevin James certainly isn’t a stranger to facial hair, as his Paul Blart: Mall Cop look brought him into that particular fold, this is a seriously long beard. Though that’s nothing compared to what’s been spotted on the set of this new Netflix film, allegedly entitled Hubie Halloween.
Yahoo dug up some details on this film’s current production, and as it turns out, Kevin James is also rocking a pretty big mullet as Officer Steve, a police officer who helps Adam Sandler’s protagonist, Hubie, investigate a heinous crime.
If you just said to yourself, “I bet it’s a murder,” you’re clearly psychic, as Hubie Halloween is another Netflix murder mystery from the man who helped make Murder Mystery a big damned hit for the streaming giant. Only this time, instead of a jet-setting adventure in Europe, Sandler and company will be skulking around Salem, Massachusetts in the search of a killer.
It’s still a bit weird to see Kevin James with a beard as big as the one seen in the Instagram post the actor had shared. While we’re used to some facial hair on the star of such sitcoms as The King of Queens and Kevin Can Wait, this is a pretty big deal. Then again, Netflix is probably banking on James, and his partner-in-crime Sandler, to make Hubie Halloween a massive hit. Which means extreme measures must naturally be taken, in the name of success.
Murder Mystery was a pretty big hit for Netflix, and in the shadow of the supposed flopping of Triple Frontier, the studio is going to want another hit to draw subscribers back to their queues. Though if word of mouth behind Hubie Halloween gets as wild as that of Murder Mystery, there’s a chance that Adam Sandler fans who don’t already have a Netflix account might just sign up for this next film.

It’s all the more reason for Kevin James to grow an insanely long beard, in hopes of luring audiences into this latest film’s clutches. The laws of comedy dictate that you’ve got to top yourself each time, and James is just playing by the rules, folks.
Hubie Halloween doesn’t have a release date just yet, but it wouldn’t be all that surprising if this one drops on Netflix in time for this fall’s festivities. Meanwhile, if you’re interested in partaking in those sweet Sandler antics, Murder Mystery is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
