Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Book Reveals Look At The Knights Of Ren
The Star Wars franchise is one of the most beloved properties in film history. George Lucas' colorful world has entrances moviegoers for decades, with entire generations being brought up on the galaxy far, far away. While Disney is showing no signs of slowing down production on the epic space opera, the nine-film Skywalker Saga will come to an end with The Rise of Skywalker.
Anticipation for Episode IX is at a fever pitch, as time slowly ticks towards the movie's December release. J.J. Abrams is back in the director's seat, finishing up the narrative he began with The Force Awakens. This includes Adam Driver's villainous Kylo Ren, as well as his mysterious forces The Knights of Ren. That group of fighters will be fleshed out in the upcoming blockbuster, but a companion book recently revealed a closer look at one of the Knights. Check it out below.
You do not want to run into that guy in a dark alley. This mysterious Knight of Ren looks downright terrifying, especially his weapon. It looks like The Resistance is going to have their work cut out for them in their final battle against Kylo Ren's forces.
This new image comes to us from Twitter, and shows the cover for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's visual dictionary. These companion books help to illuminate the world of the the upcoming blockbuster, with stunning imagery of set pieces, props, and cast members. This Knight of Ren got the largest image on the book's cover, so we should expect plenty from the forces in the upcoming blockbuster.
The Knights of Ren are one of the overarching mysterious currently surrounding the sequel trilogy, one that J.J. Abrams has to wrap up with The Rise of Skywalker. The group was briefly seen in The Force Awakens, during Rey's vision at Maz Kanata's place. But they haven't actually made an appearance in the flesh, noticeably absent from the conflict on Starkiller base.

Kylo Ren's private forces were not mentioned or seen in Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Johnson purposefully subverted fan expectations in his divisive sequel, leaving the mystery of the Knights of Ren alive providing giving unexpected regarding Snoke's fate and Rey's parentage. It should be interesting to see how much J.J. Abrams course corrects, and utilizes the characters and plot points that he introduced to moviegoers.

The Knights of Ren will finally be involved in the main conflict of the franchise in The Rise of Skywalker, although how they factor into the story is a complete mystery. The Star Wars franchise is known for its security and plot twits, so it seems like J.J. Abrams could do anything with Episode IX. Luckily, the wait is almost over.
