What Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman And More Have Shared About The Marvel's Phase 4 Slate

Marvel's panel at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend was huge. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe got the complete rundown of Phase 4 and even a few teases of what will be happening after that. The anticipation could be cut with a knife right now as we look forward to what is to come. However, if you thought you were excited, it's nothing compared to the people who will actually be part of the next phase of the MCU.

Now that the actors who will be major parts of Phase 4 can finally speak openly about what's next for them, they're doing just that, and everybody is clearly looking forward to what is coming. Chris Hemsworth took to Twitter to thank the Comic-Con crowd and say that he can't wait to get started on the next Thor movie. We only wish it weren't so far away.

The fact that a fourth Thor movie was happening, and that Taika Waititi would be back to direct it, broke just before SDCC happened, but that didn't mean that the movie didn't have a few surprises in store for us in Hall H. First off, we have the title, the incredibly fantastic Thor: Love and Thunder. But beyond that, was the revelation that the hammer will be passed to a new Thor and that person will be Natalie Portman's Jane Foster. She even got to hold the hammer at SDCC and was clearly excited for the future according to her Instagram post.

While Phase 4 of the MCU is shaping up to be big for Natalie Portman, it's also going to be important for a lot of women. Black Widow is finally getting her own movie for one thing, but possibly the busiest woman in the MCU in Phase 4 will be Wanda Maximoff. The Scarlet Witch will be co-staring in her own Disney+ series alongside Vision, and that series will apparently lead directly to her role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Elizabeth Olsen is excited for what she's doing, but also everything else coming from Marvel.

As crazy as the Marvel Studios panel was, it's unlikely anybody had a wilder San Diego Comic-Con than Simu Liu. The man who will play Shang-Chi admitted on the Comic-Con stage that he had only screen tested for the role six days prior. Now, he's excited to go to work and the make the movie great. He knows there more going on with this film then simply making another blockbuster movie.

From Black Widow to Thor: Love and Thunder, to the big screen to Disney+, Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe looks like it's going to be just as fun and exciting as the three that came before it.
