Chris Pratt Sidesteps Questions About Star-Lord’s Next Marvel Appearance
The beauty of the established MCU is you never know who’s going to pop up in the next movie. So even if Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was pushed back due to James Gunn’s previous firing and now his current development on The Suicide Squad, could Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord show up in Phase Four? Here’s what he said:
Classic Marvel secrecy! While the actor was at D23 promoting his upcoming Pixar film Onward with his MCU co-star Tom Holland (in the past tense anyway), MTV News asked him if he’d have another Marvel appearance before the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hits the big screen years from now. He flashed an excited smile while delivering his cryptic answer. Do we smell cameo?
Considering the studio unveiled ten projects between Black Widow next May and Thor: Love and Thunder coming in November 2021, which includes Disney+ series, there are tons of chances for Star-Lord to pop up, and by the sound of that reaction from Chris Pratt, maybe he’ll make an appearance sooner than returning for the Guardians threequel.
Peter Quill could certainly cross paths with the Eternals come November 2020 considering the upcoming film from Marvel seems to focus on the same cosmic world the Guardians have surfed the skies playing ‘70s classics to. A scene connecting the dysfunctional team with a brand new team of Eternals many audiences don't know about yet could be a good call for the upcoming adventure.
Or maybe Chris Pratt’s MCU character will join his fellow Chris (of the Hemsworth variety) for Thor: Love and Thunder a year later? The two heroes are acquainted already since the recent Avengers films, and Thor even boarded the Milano at the end of Endgame. If Love and Thunder picks up with Hemsworth’s character right after the events of his last appearance, Pratt could have a role in that film too!
At the very least, Chris Pratt and the other Guardians of the Galaxy may be part of a Phase Four cameo setting up their return to the big screen in Phase Five. Is Pratt smiling about a post-credit scene we most certainly don’t know about? Check out the actor update MTV about him and Tom Holland’s special connection, Jurassic World 3 and answer the big question we’ve been discussing:
It’s a subtle tease, but it sounds exciting! Chris Pratt is a busy man as usual, getting ready for the release of Onward on March 6, 2020. He’ll also be filming Jurassic World 3 ahead of its release on June 11, 2021. Where would you like to see Peter Quill next? Sound off in the comments below!
