The First Trailer For Vin Diesel's Bloodshot Is Coming With Terminator: Dark Fate
Just like this year, 2020 is chock full of huge comic book movies, from the start of the MCU’s Phase 4 to the expansion of Sony’s Spider-Verse to a couple of DC films that will hopefully keep the company’s hot streak going. But a new player is entering the fray in the form of Valiant Comics’ Bloodshot starring Vin Diesel. Bloodshot arrives in theaters in February, but you won’t have to wait that long to get a look at it, because the first trailer is coming with Terminator: Dark Fate.
As if fans of action didn’t already have enough reason to check out Terminator: Dark Fate this November, they now have the Bloodshot trailer to look forward to. This is according to ScreenGeek, who spoke to Bloodshot director Dave Wilson and producer Dinesh Shamdasani. When the question of the trailer’s debut came up, Shamdasani intimated that the trailer is arriving very soon and fans should buy a ticket to Terminator: Dark Fate.
That’s about as obvious a hint as you can get short of formally tweeting out a mini-trailer announcing the release date for the first trailer. That means that barring any changes, we will get our first look at Vin Diesel in Bloodshot alongside Terminator: Dark Fate on November 1. So although Terminator: Dark Fate clocks in at over two hours, you’re going to want to show up on time and sit through all fifty trailers to be sure you don’t miss it, bladder management be damned.
Pairing a trailer for a movie about a super-soldier with nanites in his blood who can be programmed as a weapon with a movie about humanity’s fight against machines feels appropriate. There will be a lot of crossover audiences in the theater for Dark Fate who will probably be interested to see this new comic book movie.
What we don’t know is what we will see in this trailer or if the first Bloodshot trailer will drop online at the beginning of next month as well, or the day after. Tenet and Birds of Prey both played around with theater-only trailers, and while they are both Warner Bros. films, it’s not impossible that Sony could do the same with Bloodshot. Although Christopher Nolan and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn are both known quantities, and Valiant’s Bloodshot is not to mainstream audiences, so the more eyes on it, the better.
Bloodshot is being pitched as a character-driven piece that will dive deep into Ray Garrison, the soldier played by Vin Diesel who becomes Bloodshot. The film also stars Eiza Gonzàlez, Sam Heughan and Toby Kebbell.
You can see the first trailer for Bloodshot with Terminator: Dark Fate when it opens in theaters on November 1. Bloodshot arrives on February 21, 2020. Check out our 2020 Release Schedule to see all the movies you can look forward to next year.
