Justice League Composer Danny Elfman Breaks Silence Over Snyder Cut
Since its release back in 2017, the conversation around Justice League hasn't really slowed down. The ill-fated blockbuster was highly anticipated before its release, as it was the first time the titular team was adapted into live-action. But the final product was a critical and box office failure, which inspired disappointed fans to begin campaigning for the Snyder Cut. And now Justice League composer Danny Elfman has broken his silence on the subject.
During production for Justice League, director Zack Snyder was forced to exit the project after suffering a family tragedy. Joss Whedon came in to complete the blockbuster, changing a ton of the movie in the process. One of these changes was bringing on Danny Elfman, who replaced Junkie XL as the movie's composer. When asked about the Snyder Cut, the four-time Oscar nominee responded with:
The Nightmare Before Christmas star has a point. Zack Snyder's version of Justice League simply wasn't completed. As such, it might be unlikely that the Snyder Cut see the light of day.
Danny Elfman's comments to Joe might be a bit disappointing for the hardcore fans out there who have been campaigning for the Snyder Cut for the past few years. Plenty of big names from Justice League have joined the movement, including the actors who made up the titular team of heroes. But Elfman seems a bit more realistic in his approach, and he's not sure that a movie that never actually was completed will end up being distributed.
While Zack Snyder didn't get to bring his Justice League vision to fruition, there was plenty of footage that ended up on the cutting room floor once Joss Whedon joined the blockbuster. Snyder has since shared a ton of images from his unused scenes, breaking the internet in the process. Every new image gives hope to the Snyder Cut movement, with the filmmaker clearly stoking the fires of that campaign.
The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement has been gaining steam over the past few months. Over the summer, fans crowdfunded in order to campaign for that cut at San Diego Comic-Con, which got Zack Snyder's attention. He's been consistently releasing new stills from his version of Justice League, with each one sending the fans into a frenzy.

What's more, even the stars of Justice League recently joined the campaign. While Ray Fisher was on board a while ago, Gal Gadot and even Ben Affleck recently posted their support on social media. Since Affleck has retired from the role as Batman, his post was doubly powerful.
