There will also be offers on great TVs from cheap to top spec models, soundbars, Blu-Ray, as well as on fun memorabilia like Funko Pops and other merch. Want to build sets from your favorite franchise? Get ready for some great Black Friday LEGO deals, too.

With the arrival of November, retailers are going early with their deals, including Walmart we'll be regularly updating this page, so make sure to check back in with CinemaBlend to find the best Black Friday deals and gifts for yourself or the entertainment lover in your life.

- NordVPN features on all CinemaBlend's How to Watch guides. This is the VPN I use when streaming and proves the most reliable when unblocking streaming services without compromising on speed, which is obviously pretty important. Nobody wants the dreaded buffer icon. It's also the #1 VPN according to Tom's Guide, which tested Nord's unblocking prowess across major streaming providers around the world.

- Keen readers of CinemaBlend's How to Watch guides might recall ExpressVPN as the one I recommended for unblocking. To be clear, it's still very good at unblocking. NordVPN just beats it to the punch as an all-round more secure, better performing service – but it's very, very close. This is the first time ExpressVPN has ever offered a Black Friday VPN deal, bringing its monthly rate into the wheelhouse of its competitors as the notoriously pricier service. It's really reliable for unblocking and it's very easy to use.

Black Friday Entertainment Deals FAQ

When Is Black Friday 2024?

This year, Black Friday will fall on November 29. As ever, it follows the day after US Thanksgiving, which takes place on the fourth Thursday of the month. That said, Black Friday deals will likely launch earlier in November, with all the biggest retailers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, and Best Buy, as well as the most popular streaming services getting involved earlier and earlier every year. We expect to see deals starting as early as next week.

What stores have Black Friday sales?

Almost all major retailers, both digital and brick-and-mortar, will have huge deals and discounts for both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Of course the major players like Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart will offer arguably their lowest prices and best deals of the year, but don't forget about third party storefronts on Amazon. We're also expecting some of the best streaming services to offer huge discounts as well, so be sure to check back as new deals drop.

What Are Some Tips For Shopping Black Friday 2023?

1. Start shopping early
While many deals won't be live until Friday, November 24th, there are still tons of deals that will be going on all throughout November, so, the earlier you start the more deals you can find!

2. Check multiple sites
All the big retail players will be in the game for Black Friday. Make sure to shop around on sites like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and more to make sure you find the best price available.

3. Set up Watch-a-Deal notifications
The Amazon mobile app has a great feature that allows users to be notified when specific items go on sale. In the app, it's as simple as going to Settings > Programs and Features > Deals > Upcoming and then selecting the deals you're interested in. Find the "Watch This Deal" button and then you'll be notified when the item goes on sale. You can download the app for free on iOS and Android.

4. Use Tools To Help You Shop
Since you're already shopping online, you might as well continue to take advantage of the tech. There are price tracker and comparison tools like CamelCamelCamel and Honey that can aid in finding you the best deals, tracking the history of a product's price fluctuations, and sending you alerts when the price drops below a certain threshold.

Why are they called "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday?"

In 1869, investors Jay Gould and Jim Fisk drove the price of gold up, causing the market to crash. The term "Black Friday" was coined to describe that dark say on September 24th, and was then subsequently used to describe other bad situations. Flash forward to 1950's Philadelphia where police were calling the influx of shoppers who poured into the city the day after Thanksgiving, which they dubbed "Black Friday," connecting the term to the shopping event. Due to the negative connottion associated with the the term, the event would go through a failed name change, the short lived "Big Friday."

The holiday continue to grow throughout the rest of the century and into the early 2000's when the National Retail Federation introduced "Cyber Monday" due to the sharp increase in online traffic and revenue on the Monday that followed Black Friday. Since the shift from mainly in-person sales to digital sales, the "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday" terms are now used to describe huge discounts and deals throughout the month of November, while officially still remaining on the Friday after the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday and the following Monday.
