It's almost hard to believe it, but Zack Snyder's Justice League is almost here. After years of fan campaigning and crowdfunding, the titular filmmaker was given millions by HBO Max to complete his version of the blockbuster. Fans are just weeks away, and Snyder is helping to buoy anticipation through thrilling teasers that feature new footage. The latest of these includes Black Suit Superman, and a fun callback to Man of Steel.
Before the DC Extended Universe was established, Zack Snyder kickstarted the entire property with 2013's Man of Steel. Henry Cavill debuted his version of Superman in the process, making a strong impression with his hulking physicality and emotional performance. The Snyder Cut will presumably handle Clark Kent's resurrection quite differently, and a new clip teased just that. Check it out below.
I mean, can this movie get here already? Because while Henry Cavill's future as Superman is still a mystery, fans will be treated to a different take on his story with Zack Snyder's Justice League. And hopefully that'll inspire Warner Bros. to once again collaborate with the Mission: Impossible -- Fallout actor.
The above video comes to us from the Twitter of Zack Snyder himself. With his work doing reshoots and editing for Justice League done, the director/writer has now gone full tilt on hyping up the four-hour streaming event's impending release. First he shared a Batman video featuring surprising voices like Lex Luthor and Martian Manhunter, and this new clip focuses on Henry Cavill's mega-powerful hero.
Zack Snyder's Justice League will be available exclusively on HBO Max. You can use this link to sign up for the streaming service.
The clip opens on Henry Cavill's Clark Kent, who is presumably freshly resurrected. While Zack Snyder's Justice League will be quite different from the 2017 theatrical version, this plot point is expected to remain. Although how Snyder goes about it remains to be unseen, with the new suit highlighting his unique take on the story.

From there we see Superman presumably in the Kryptonian ship that serves as the DCEU's Fortress of Solitude. Various suits are shown, as character's voices are heard. We hear Diane Lane's Martha Kent, as well as Kevin Costner's lines from Man of Steel. More voices are heard at an increasing pace, including seemingly Steppenwolf. The last voice heard is Jor-El, played by Russell Crowe in Superman's origin story.
Eventually the voices are quieted, as we watch Superman departs the shuttle in his black suit, looking throughly badass in the process. While pondering why he was brought back from the dead he soon takes to the skies- presumably to recharge with the power of the Sun's rays.
Superman's plot line is one of the many new concepts coming to Zack Snyder's Justice League. While his vision was greatly changed by reshoots and editing for the theatrical cut, the filmmaker turned down a paycheck for completing the Snyder Cut in order to retain full creative control. And it's nearly upon us.
Zack Snyder's Justice League is set to hit HBO Max on March 18th. In the meantime, check out our 2021 release list to plan your next movie experience.
