Rebel Wilson has come a long way from being Pitch Perfect’s Fat Amy, and she’s seriously ready to drive that fact home with a new nickname and her upcoming film, Senior Year. Wilson spent the pandemic working on herself in all the ways she has always wanted to, losing weight in what she called her “year of health." Now, she’s right back to work with a new comedy film, in which we can see the visual results of her productive year in isolation. After taking a break from social media, we now have a little BTS sneak peek of the film from Wilson herself. In it, she sports a pink leotard and, as always, she looks stunning!
I’m getting some major ‘80s prom vibes from the photo Rebel Wilson recently shared to her Instagram, except it's not a dress with poofy sleeves. Even though the leotard is a style that’s kind of hard to pull off, Wilson looks absolutely great in the Senior Year photo. Everything about this photo is giving me major flashbacks to high school, from the made-up hair to the prom background. That’s kind of the point, though, as Senior Year is about a woman who wakes up from a 20-year coma and has to go back to her old high school to finish up her studies. Though the photo gives off plenty of nostalgia, I'm honestly not quite sure how to feel about just how close it is to my school vibes.
Being on a set of a high school prom is bound to be a way better time than being back in actual high school, though, and Rebel Wilson sure looks like she is living it up, as her last few Instagram updates are from the project. And in the others, she's sporting a similar outfit. But she deserves to have some fun and work on a joyful project, because she absolutely killed it during her year of health. And even now, she's still overcoming some challenges from losing a ton of weight.

Netflix's Senior Year still appears to be filming and a release date has not officially been announced yet. While not too much is else is known about the project as of yet, we do know Rebel Wilson will be starring opposite Clueless’ Alicia Silverstone, and I’m patiently waiting for her to drop a leotard-clad selfie with the ‘90s icon.
