As Quentin Tarantino Preps For Final Movie, Harvey Keitel Talks Potentially Working With The Pulp Fiction Filmmaker Again
It’s almost the end of an era, because Quentin Tarantino has talked about retirement, and he’s pretty serious. The iconic director has said he’s only going to make one more film. Reservoir Dogs star Harvey Keitel apparently wants to be in on Tarantino’s final film, and he recently talked about the prospects of working with the Pulp Fiction director again.
Harvey Keitel has worked with Quentin Tarantino on a few of his iconic films, and he seems heartbroken at the idea of never working with him again. In an interview with Insider, Keitel expressed just how he feels about the idea of not making another movie with Tarantino, and it’s very clear that he refuses to believe it is a possibility. Here’s what the actor said:
It really sounds like Harvey Keitel has a special place in his heart for the work he has done with the director, and he really loves what they have created and accomplished together. After words like that, it will be heart-wrenching if Quentin Tarantino doesn’t put Keitel in his final film.
Harvey Keitel worked with Quentin Tarantino on Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, and even had a small contribution to Inglourious Basterds. These are some of the most popular Tarantino films, but Keitel also has some words for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which is Tarantino’s most recent film and one that Keitel had no part in. In the same interview, Keitel again praised the director, saying he told “one of the most powerful love stories” he has ever seen. In Keitel's words:
It’s not outside the realm of possibility that we could, in fact, see Harvey Keitel in Quentin Tarantino’s final movie. We already know Tarantino loves pulling from his trusted talent pool, and now that Keitel has expressed his desire to team back up with such moving words, it would be a shame if Tarantino didn’t take him up on it.
While we still haven’t been told much about Quentin Tarantino’s supposed last film, there has been much speculation about Kill Bill Vol. 3 being a serious contender, even from Tarantino himself. With that in mind, it would definitely be cool to see Harvey Keitel alongside Uma Thurman, and he would clearly be over the moon about working with Tarantino again.
