When Jennifer Lopez was still engaged to Alex Rodriguez, all eyes were still on Ben Affleck’s romantic life. He was seeing Knives Out actress Ana de Armas for a time, with de Armas even photographed moving things into Affleck’s home. But it doesn’t look like he’s ready to shack up with JLo just yet, as both A-listers are reportedly keeping their separate homes.
This latest news comes to us from E! Online, with the outlet apparently having access to an insider close to Jennifer Lopez and/or Ben Affleck. And while Bennifer is back and consistently breaking the internet every time a new paparazzi photo is snapped, it appears that moving in together isn’t on the table yet. Instead, both Affleck and Lopez apparently want to keep their homes in order to maintain a consistent living environment for their respective families.
Celebrities: they’re just like us. Because while our homes might not be comparable to that of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, the idea of moving in together with one’s partner is still a complicated one. So while Affleck previously made headlines for his relationship with Ana de Armas, it seems that things are going down differently for Bennifer 2.0.
In the same story, another key detail was revealed about the reported decision for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez to retain separate residences. Namely, that they’re not far from each other. Add in the celebrity couple's ability to travel on vacations, and it seems that physical distance isn’t exactly an issue at this moment.
Both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are no strangers to their personal life becoming very public news. Prior to their reunion, the internet was ablaze when it was revealed that Affleck was dating Ana de Armas. There’s also his previous marriage with Jennifer Garner, who is the father of his children. That former pair continues to co-parent, with Garner also seemingly happy that he’s happy with Lopez.
As for Jennifer Lopez, she only recently broke off her relationship with former MLB icon Alex Rodriguez. Given this very public breakup, it makes a great deal of sense that Lopez would want to stay in their home to keep the family centered. So while Bennifer seems alive and strong, the shippers out there probably shouldn’t hold their breath while waiting for them to cohabitate.
