Ryan Reynolds Hilariously Breaks Down “Feud” With Hugh Jackman
For years Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have been involved in a "feud." The two have continually insulted each other, pranked each other, and used the beverage companies they own to attack each other by proxy. It's an entertaining battle for the fans to say the least, but just how did it all happen in the first place? Ryan Reynolds recently appeared on a podcast where he actually gave an explanation for how this all got started, and it all comes back to the fact that Hugh Jackman is, well, the nicest guy in the world, and Reynolds is apparently a little jealous.
Ryan Reynolds recently appeared on the Smartless podcast with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett. And when the subject of Hugh Jackman came up, Reynolds doesn't respond with a quip, but with an actual real answer about what it is that led to the ongoing battle. Reynolds says that he pokes fun at Hugh Jackman because he wants to posses what Jackman has. The Deadpool actor explains...
Hugh Jackman is one of those actors who always seems like he's the nicest guy in the world, but when people pretend to be other people for a living, you can never really be sure. However, based on Ryan Reynolds' assessment, Jackman just really is that good a guy. Reynolds says that Jackman is so nice it drives him nuts, and that's what apparently led to the ongoing public feud between the two where they just give each other hell.
Of course, we know these two are truly friends. When the chips are down and things get serious, they support each other. That's part of what makes the feud so much fun. We can tell these guys really do care for each other and so when they have fun there's no animosity attached.
It sounds like the reason Hugh Jackman is willing to give as well as he gets is simply because Jackman is such a nice guy, he's playing Reynolds' game just because he knows it will make his friend happy. One hopes that we can all have friends so great they can insult you at your request.
