Jennifer Lopez, 52, has made headlines in recent weeks for reuniting with her former beau Ben Affleck. This weekend, they went Instagram official thanks to photos from Leah Remini’s birthday party, prompting JLo to share a more official look at the couple this weekend. While I’d normally be all over the new couple’s PDA, this time I’m way more interested in JLo’s abs in a swimsuit and the entire yacht setting she chose for her own birthday photo shoot.
JLo’s abs and workout effort in her fifties always totally blows my mind, whether she’s learning pole dancing for Hustlers or just showing off the incredible work she’s put in to stay fit, as she seems to be doing her. This week, she turned 52, so hell yeah she’s going to celebrate by showing off the hard work she’s put in stay svelte during her lengthy and rewarding career.
Ben Affleck may be her new eye candy, but it was certainly Jennifer Lopez’s big day this week as she hit the big 5-2. She also followed up with video footage from her big boat day, which you can see below. I mention the boat because it’s an interesting choice she made for her ab-filled birthday event.
Why? Well, if you’ve been paying attention at all to the tangled lives celebrities lead, Jennifer Lopez was actually engaged to Alex Rodriguez a few months ago. The two split back in April, officially, after reports had indicated that there was trouble in paradise for some time and after Alex Rodriguez made a last ditch effort to head to the set of Lopez's upcoming Shotgun Wedding movie to try and make things work. A-Rod has since gotten fit and also recently had his own little yachting shindig -- also for his birthday -- that attracted notice online. A-Rod is still currently on his Euro yachting trip and is expected to be on board when he celebrates his birthday just a few days after JLo's. Coincidence? Maybe. Worth mentioning? Of course.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez may or may not be above a little petty revenge, but she has fully moved on with a new partner. She and Ben Affleck had been spotted out and about and rumored to be romantically involved since at least early May of this year. That whirlwind romance looks to have been taken to the next level this weekend as JLo has reached the stage of sharing PDA pics with her new beau. Of course, next up, there's going to be some interesting waters as Ben Affleck is going to have to navigate the press for his upcoming movie Deep Water with his ex Ana De Armas. But in general things seem to be going quite swimmingly for the couple.
