Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has a lot to celebrate these days. The actor recently wrapped production on Warner Bros. and DC’s Black Adam and, now, he’s enjoying the long-awaited release of Disney’s Jungle Cruise. The movie, which The Rock headlines alongside Emily Blunt, is set to arrive later this week, and the excitement for the film seems to be building. The film also just had its world premiere and, to mark the occasion, Johnson offered fans some words of “gratitude” and some cool footage from the event.
The Jungle Cruise premiere was held at Disneyland this past Saturday, and it certainly appeared to be a good time. Dwayne Johnson has been to plenty of world premieres in his time, but it sounds like this one was particularly special for him. At least, that’s the feeling you get after reading the warm words found in the caption of his recent Instagram post:
The Rock has never had a problem thanking fans when it comes to his many projects over the years. Whether it be Jumanji or HBO’s Ballers, the actor and producer almost always seems to carve out time to acknowledge his supporters. And typically, he also pairs his thanks with a cool tidbit or two, which is exactly what the aforementioned footage is. Check it out for yourself in the post down below:
As Hollywood seeks to find some sense of normalcy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s honestly nice to see red carpet events again. And this one definitely looks like one for the books, as it was filled with stars and plenty of fans. Mulan and The Mandalorian alum Ming-Na Wen falls into both of those categories, though, and she shared her own Instagram post filled with cool images and photos from the momentous night. Check it out below:
Based on these posts, it would seem that the Jungle Cruise premiere was a success, and the same is proving to be true for the film so far. Early reactions to the film have been mostly positive, with critics heaping praise on the film’s sense of adventure, its humor and the chemistry between its capable co-leads.
There’s a good chance this won’t be the last fans hear from Dwayne Johnson when it comes to Jungle Cruise. As the film progresses in its theatrical run, he’s likely to share additional behind-the-scenes details, which are sure to be welcomed by his many social media followers.
