The DC Extended Universe has a number of highly anticipated projects coming down the line, including the long-awaited Flash solo movie. Directed by IT filmmaker Andy Muschietti, anticipation for the project has risen partly due to the inclusion of two versions of Batman. Unfortunately the production hit another setback, as there was reportedly a second Batcycle crash.
Last week, The Flash movie made headlines when a crew member was injured after colliding with the movie’s Batcycle. Luckily said injury wasn’t serious, but now another accident has hit that same iconic DC vehicle. Only this time it crashed into a stunt car.
This latest report comes to us from Twitter, where there is some footage of the crash currently circulating online. In it a stunt double for Ben Affleck is driving the Batcycle, where he drives into another car on set. There were reportedly no injuries, but smart money says that Batman’s new ride is going to need some repairs as a result of the crash. Indeed, there are some pieces of the Batcycle that seem to have broken off.
While thankfully it seems no further injuries happened on the set of The Flash movie, the fact that the Batcycle has had another collision is sure to turn a few heads. Hardcore comic book fans were thrilled to learn that Batman vehicle would be joining the DCEU for the first time, although that’s clearly easier said than done.
The DCEU has found its streaming home on HBO Max. You can use this link to sign up for the streaming service.
As previously mentioned, Ben Affleck’s Batman is going to be returning to the DCEU in the upcoming Flash movie opposite Ezra Miller. But he won’t be the only version of Bruce Wayne involved, as the great Michael Keaton will also be back in the cape and cowl for the first time in decades.

The contents of The Flash are currently being kept under wraps, which is why the public is so eager for any updates from the set. That includes the last few Batcycle snafus, which hopefully will come to an end. We’ll just have to see if the iconic vehicle has much wear and tear when the fandom finally sees the blockbuster on the big screen.
Aside from Batman, another hero will factor into Ezra Miller’s long delayed Flash movie. Namely Supergirl, played by newcomer Sasha Calle. The brief glimpses at her costume look awesome, and I’m eager to see if/how she factors into the DCEU as a whole. After all, the movie is expected to tackle the multiverse.
The Flash is currently set to arrive in theaters on November 4th, 2022. In the meantime, check out the 2021 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
