Halloween Kills Feels Oh So Close As Jamie Lee Curtis Shares First Look At Billboards For The Sequel
A ton of movies were delayed last year, as a result of either closed theaters or delayed sets. This includes Blumhouse’s highly anticipated slasher Halloween Kills starring Jamie Lee Curtis. Fans can’t wait to see Curtis back as Laurie Strode for two more installments, and Halloween Kills has never felt so close as she shared the first look at billboards for the sequel.
Last year Halloween Kills was delayed a full year, in hopes of having a strong box office performance this fall once folks were more comfortable attending movie theaters. David Gordon Green’s sequel will arrive in time for the titular holiday this fall, with Jamie Lee Curtis once again reprising her signature role. And Curtis is helping to maintain anticipation for the movie, showing off a new billboard starring Michael Myers. Check it out below.
Michael Myers is still alive, and this time it looks like he’s back with a vengeance. Halloween Kills is only a few months away, so the marketing campaign is starting to pick up. And as such, we should see way more of both The Shape and Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode.
The above image comes to us from Jamie Lee Curtis’ personal Instagram account. She’s extremely active on social media, using her platform to promote projects like Halloween Kills and Borderlands, as well as humanitarian work. And this time her attention has been the epic billboards of Michael Myers that are currently being put up around the country.
Jamie Lee Curtis kept her caption short and sweet simply saying “soon” but with the O’s replaced with jack-o-lantern emojis. Indeed, the long wait for Halloween Kills is nearly up for the generations of fans out there. And since the movie was supposed to arrive last October, there’s even more interest in exactly what David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride might have in store for moviegoers.
Not much is known about the contents of Halloween Kills, but it does sound like the ambitious slasher is going to be a bloodbath. As the limited footage reveals, the sequel will pick up immediately after the events of 2018’s Halloween. And when Michael Myers escapes his fiery tomb in Laurie’s house, he’ll once again be on the rampage throughout the town of Haddonfield.
While 2018’s Halloween was focused on Laurie’s trauma and how it related to her family relationships, the sequel will be a much larger narrative. Jamie Lee Curtis has teased how Halloween Kills will unpack the events of John Carpenter’s original movie, which is why a number of OG characters and actors will be returning to the story.

Because when Michael Myers continues his rampage through Haddonfield, the town itself will arm up and form an angry mob to take on The Shape themselves. This brought back original stars Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, and Charles Cyphers who are reprising their roles from the 1978 original Halloween. We’ll just have to wait and see who makes it out alive.
Halloween Kills is expected to arrive in theaters on October 15th. In the meantime, check out the 2021 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience
