Red Notice Producer Reveals Why Fans Are Gonna Love Netflix’s Movie With The Rock, Ryan Reynolds And Gal Gadot
Red Notice is one of many big-budget films Netflix banked making the platform a competitor for the studios. One reason the streamer has so much faith in the action thriller is its A-list leads. Having Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot in one film is a rarity in Hollywood. Plus, it appears to be the DC-Marvel crossover moviegoers didn’t know they wanted. But one person who seems more excited compared to anyone else is the film’s producer Hiram Garcia. The Red Notice producer revealed why fans will love the Netflix thriller.
Having an all-star isn’t unusual in Hollywood, but the pairing of The Rock, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot threw some fans off. Given each actor’s specialty, it may sound bizarre on paper, but it might work once Red Notice is released. At least, that seems to be Hiram Garcia’s thought process. Johnson’s right-hand man told Collider about the unlikely DCEU-MCU crossover:
Garcia’s positioning of Red Notice as a globe-trotting adventure painted the film as a must-see in 2021. Of course, that comes with running a production company alongside The Rock. He needed to build up the hype. If that wasn’t the case, the sheer star power of Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot will pull in audiences. Based on Johnson and Reynolds’ online banter, it seems the film will be a much-needed escape. As Garcia pointed out, seeing MCU and DCEU heroes coming together for one project will get the diehard fans for sure.
While fans wait for the upcoming thriller to arrive, The Rock has been keeping them in the loop. The Rock has been hyping the film through social media messages and impressive film stills. Red Notice marked the first time the actor and Ryan Reynolds have collaborated. But Johnson and Gal Gadot’s history goes back to the Fast and Furious franchise, appearing in Fast Five and Fast and Furious 6 together. So, this film is gearing up to be one of 2021’s biggest films despite having no official trailer.
Again, this action thriller appears to be the DC-Marvel crossover fans didn’t know they needed. Moviegoers won’t have to wait much longer to see the three A-listers onscreen together as Red Notice arrives on Netflix on Nov. 12.
