Happy Birthday Chris Hemsworth. The man who brought Thor to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe turns 38-years-old today. While I don't know what he's doing for his special day, part of it is hopefully dedicated to reading through all the well wishes from friends and fans alike, as social media is full of people celebrating Hemsworth's birth.
Ryan Reynolds is among those wishing Chris Hemsworth a happy birthday. While Deadpool and Thor have yet to cross paths in the MCU, though the two have friends in common, one gets the feeling that especially with Taika Waititi at the helm such things could happen. Reynolds borrowed an image from Hemsworth's Instagram to wish the man happy birthday. I'm not sure what this picture is all about, but it looks like Chris Hemsworth may be campaigning for an Ace Ventura reboot.
And then, oddly, we can actually combine Chris Hemsworth and Ryan Reynolds together in another birthday wish. Boss Logic, the creator of some of the best pop art to be found on the internet also wished Thor a happy birthday, but did it with the help of Deadpool, showing off a version of a Pikachu Mjolnir being swung by Deadpool, as well as Pikachu Thor, I guess because both of them have the ability to throw lightning around.
While Ryan Reynolds may not have made a Marvel movie with Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo has been part of several, including co-starring alongside him in Thor: Ragnarok. Ruffalo also wished his friend and co-star a happy birthday, while also dropping a sly plug for the new animated Marvel series What If...? which dropped its first episode on Disney+ today. A birthday wish and a marketing tweet, Mark Ruffalo can do it all.
But while Chris Hemsworth is and will forever be Thor, we shouldn't forget that he also has played many roles where he isn't given a massive hammer to hit things with. IMDb took the occasion of Hemsworth's special day to celebrate many of the actors great roles and while there is certainly a lot of Thor here, there are also a few other great roles and maybe one or two you've forgotten about. Maybe you can celebrate the actor's birthday yourself by watching one or more of these tonight.
From the responses from other celebrities as well as the massive number of birthday wishes that have come from fans all over the world Chris Hemsworth is clearly a fan favorite and if he's seen the outpouring of love on social media tofay he certainly knows it. Fans will be able to see Hemsworth later this year in Escape From Spiderhead on Netflix and then in theaters as Thor once again in Thor: Love and Thunder in 2022.
