HeroBlend Podcast #12: What We Know So Far About Spider-Man: Far From Home
Welcome to the HeroBlend Podcast #12! The Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, now officially titled Spider-Man: Far From Home, is due out next year, so it seems like a good time for Eric and Adrienne to talk over what we know (and what we think we know) about the new movie. First, though, we've got some exciting news items to discuss regarding Wonder Woman 1984, X-Force and HBO's upcoming Watchmen series. Then, we'll let you in on early reactions from critics who've screened Ant-Man and The Wasp. And, after our Spider-Man: Far From Home chat, we'll talk over a (potentially big) new development with regards to Sony's proposed series of Spider-Verse movies.
With regards to our main topics this week, we've got a lot of ground to cover and some very cool information to impart on our listeners. Eric has already seen Ant-Man and The Wasp twice, as well as visiting the set last year and doing the press junket last weekend, so he's got a lot to say about what fans can expect from the film when it releases on July 6. Also, we'll have a bit of a discussion about what, exactly, it means when a critic calls a movie "fun," and whether or not it's really a compliment anymore. Then, we'll launch into what information we have about Spider-Man: Far From Home. Who's the rumored villain and who might be playing said Big Bad? Will we see popular comic characters introduced and who might they be? What does the title mean? We'll talk about that and more, including a very intriguing theory regarding this movie and the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Last, but certainly not least, we'll give our thoughts on the most recent development in Sony's proposed Spider-Man-less Spider-Verse series of films, which will kick off this October when Venom opens. Sit back and relax, folks, because this is one chat you're not going to want to miss! Ready to dive in? Great! Read on to get the lowdown on this week's podcast and then listen for yourself above!
