HeroBlend Podcast #14: San Diego Comic-Con 2018 Preview
Welcome to the HeroBlend Podcast #14! Every summer brings us plenty of reveals in the world of superhero movies, and since many of those reveals come to us from the halls of San Diego Comic-Con, we're hoping this year will be no different! SDCC 2018 is right around the corner, so, for this week's podcast, Eric and Adrienne will talk all about the major films and television shows that will be attending, along with those that, shockingly, decided to skip the festivities and why that might have happened. So, after a news segment where we discuss new Joker developments, Avengers: Infinity War home video details, FX's Y: The Last Man adaptation and some surprising Spider-Man: Far From Home casting, we'll dive into all the cool SDCC topics at hand.
We'll start our SDCC 2018 conversation will a rundown of the most important film panels and events coming to the convention this year. The Warner Bros. panel, for instance, is guaranteed to showcase some major properties, as Aquaman, Shazam! and Wonder Woman 1984 are all either done filming or far enough into production to offer up some tidbits (and possibly footage) at the convention. Not to mention Warner Bros. other upcoming blockbusters like LEGO Movie: The Second Part and Creed II. We'll also talk about Eric's hopes for panels on Venom, The Predator and Glass, among others. Next, we'll discuss the many (many, many) TV shows coming to SDCC this year. From the Arrow-verse to Young Justice: Outsiders, and Doctor Who to Star Trek: Discovery, there'll be a lot to talk about here. Last, but not least, we'll talk about the big properties that will be missing from SDCC 2018, including Marvel, Star Wars and Game of Thrones, and Eric will tell us whether or not he thinks this is an anomaly for the con or a new normal. Sit back and relax, folks, because this is one chat you're not going to want to miss! Ready to dive in? Great! Read on to get the lowdown on this week's podcast and then listen for yourself above!
