HeroBlend #38: Glass Spoiler Review And Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Reactions
Welcome to HeroBlend #38! Join Eric and Adrienne as they give their reactions to the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, discuss superhero movies during this year's awards season and offer up their...animated and spoiler-filled Glass reviews! First, though, a lot is happening in the world of superheroes and we've got some intriguing news items for you this week. We'll be going over Josh Gad's continued push to play Penguin, Sterling K. Brown's Black Panther accent and a deleted Killmonger line that changed the end of the movie, rumors about the Black Widow movie rating and the planned X-Force film, whether or not the X-Men can really fit in the MCU and more!
Next, we've finally gotten the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, so we'll talk about our general impressions, as well as get into the details that have been revealed (or not revealed) about Mysterio, the timeline of the movie, Nick Fury, the Elementals and several deep Easter Eggs that point toward certain villains. Then, we'll get into superhero movie chances during this year's awards season. Black Panther has been making waves, and might get some major, non-VFX award nominations, and there are also chances for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Avengers: Infinity War to win awards. We'll go over what's happened so far during awards season, talk about the what we'd like to see happen and what nominations should be a given. Also, we'll be going over some general Oscar ceremony news, and what awards really mean for superhero movies, anyway.
Last, but absolutely not least, it's time for our lovely, spoiler-filled reviews of Glass. Last week, Eric was able to give a brief, spoiler-free review for us, but now he and Adrienne can go into everything that they loved, hated and were confused about. Now, sit back and relax, folks, because this is one chat you're not going to want to miss. Ready to dive in? Great! Listen for yourself above!
