Tori Spelling Is Pregnant With Her 5th Child
The McDermott-Spellng household is getting yet another addition! Tori Spelling announced on Wednesday that she is expecting her fifth child with husband Dean McDermott.
Tori Spelling told PEOPLE that the pregnancy came as a surprise, but that she is incredibly happy with the news and can't wait to add to her family.
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are already parents to four children: Liam McDermott, 9, Stella McDermott, 8, Hattie McDermott, 5, and Finn McDermott, 4. Dean McDermott also has an 18-year-old son Jack McDermott from a previous marriage. The couple has been married for ten years now, though a recent affair threatened to break them up. In 2013, about a year after the birth of son Finn, news broke that McDermott had been cheating on Spelling.
But Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott managed to use the spectacle in their favor, and chronicled the fallout from the affair in a Lifetime docuseries called True Tori. The couple worked through their issues and now claim to be stronger than ever. Spelling says this baby will be special for her and her husband after they've gone through those rocky times in recent years.
Tori Spelling rose to prominence as Donna Martin on the '90s teen soap Beverly Hills, 90210, which was produced by her father Aaron Spelling. Spelling continued to act in independent and made-for-TV movies, as well as popping up in guest roles on TV shows like Smallville and the CW's 90210 remake. Spelling has also written six autobiographical books between 2008 and 2013. Her debut book sTORI TELLING reached number 1 on the New York Times' Best Sellers List.
For his part, Dean McDermott appeared in a string of TV and film roles throughout the '90s and into the '00s. He became best known after marrying Tori Spelling and appearing with her in various reality shows about their relationship, including Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, Tori & Dean: Storibook, Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever, and the above-mentioned True Tori.
We'll have to wait and see if the couple can find any time to keep making reality shows with five kids running around!
