Michael Buble's 3-Year-Old Son Is Battling Cancer
Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato announced on Friday that their 3-year-old son Noah Bublé has been diagnosed with cancer. The couple wrote that they are devastated at the news, that Noah is in treatment for the disease currently, and that they will be putting their careers on hold to be with Noah.
The announcement came via a statement on Michael Bublé's Facebook page, which read as follows.
In recent months, Michael Bublé had been working to promote his latest album Nobody but Me, which was released just over a week ago at the end of October, as well as his recently released fragrance line called "By Invitation." Of course, his son's cancer diagnosis will mean a stop to any promotional events involving Bublé.
In terms of future gigs, Michael Bublé was recently confirmed to host the 2017 JUNO Awards on April 2. There's not been word yet if he will back out of that commitment. Additionally, Bublé had yet to announce a tour to support his new album, and it looks like that definitely won't be happening now.
Noah Bublé is the eldest son of Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato, who had just celebrated his third birthday a little over two months ago. The couple had their second son Elias Bublé earlier this year.
Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato began dating in the later half of 2008, after he and his girlfriend of three years Emily Blunt had split up. Lopilato was already established as a well-known actress and model in Argentina at that time, and she reportedly inspired Bublé's hit single "Haven't Met You Yet."
Of course, the focus at this time should be on Noah, who is in treatment for cancer at the young age of 3. Our thoughts are with you!
