Ryan Lochte's Fiance Is Pregnant

A little Lochte is on his or her way. Ryan Lochte announced on Wednesday that he and his fiancé Kayla Rae Reid are expecting their first child. And what better way could the Olympic swimmer make the announcement than by jumping in the pool for a sweet, underwater belly-kissing photo.

Ryan Lochte posted a shot to his Instagram account in which he is kissing his fiancé Kayla Rae Reid's stomach underwater, and wrote that his Christmas gift had come early this year. Check out the sweet pregnancy announcement photo below.

And Kayla Rae Reid wasn't going to let her famous fiancé have all the underwater photoshoot fun. The model posted her own picture from the pool announcing her new bundle of joy on the way, writing the the pregnancy is a surprising blessing.

Ryan Lochte began dating Playboy model Kayla Rae Reid at the beginning of 2016, but their relationship didn't come to public attention until Reid appeared in Rio de Janeiro this summer to support Lochte during the Olympics. At the end of his time in Rio, Lochte got swept up in a major scandal after it was revealed that he lied about being robbed at a local gas station, and had instead drunkenly vandalized the establishment with a couple of his teammates. Lochte proposed to Reid two month ago, saying that the fact that she stuck with him throughout the highly publicized scandal is part of what motivated him to pop the question after a bit over a half a year of dating.

And what a romantic proposal it was! Ryan Lochte took Kayla Rae Reid on a helicopter tour of Los Angeles, ending at sunset on a cliffside in Malibu overlooking the ocean. As the sun set over the ocean horizon, Lochte asked Reid to marry him and she said yet. There's no date set for the big wedding yet, but it's looking like it might happen sometime next year.

It appears as though things are finally starting to turn around for Ryan Lochte after a particularly disastrous year. Public opinion of the swimmer hit new lows after news of his Rio de Janeiro scandal took over the media in the months following the Olympics, and his attempts to win back some goodwill by signing on for Dancing With the Stars actually incited a pair of protestors to rush the stage during one of his performances. At least things in Lochte's personal life seem to be going great. I bet it will be so cute when his baby says his first "Jeah."
