Taylor Swift Teases A Clip From I Don't Wanna Live Forever Video

Taylor Swift is going to be showing off her sultry side in her new music video. The singer shared a brief snippet of her highly anticipated "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" video ahead of its release at midnight.

The video clip shows Taylor Swift entering a huge mansion clad in a black trench coat and matching black lipstick. Cutaway shots show Swift flipping her hair while on a bed and emoting in a room awash in red light. Meanwhile, her song partner Zayn Malik is shown exiting a town car in the rain in an all-black suit, and later destroying a hotel room dining set.

Prior to uploading the short video clip, Taylor Swift had shared two more glimpses at the upcoming video on her Instagram over the past week. Both stills show Swift and Zayn Malik looking pensive in while bathed in different colors of light. The one from last week shows the two singers looking blue.

Many fans noted the shift in tone that "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" is for Taylor Swift musically, as she's become better known for radio-ready power pop songs and this Fifty Shades Darker track veers more into Zayn Malik's territory of slow and sensual R&B-inspired music. From what we can see of the video so far, it looks like it will lend itself to the slow-burning eroticism of the song, which would be similar to the vibe of the music video of Fifty Shades of Grey's lead single "Worth It" by the Weeknd.

"I Don't Wanna Live Forever" is Taylor Swift's first new release in two years, since releasing her album 1989 at the end of 2014. Though fans had been expecting Swift to drop a whole new album at the end of 2016, the pop star has remained relatively quiet in terms of her music. That doesn't mean she's remained out of the public eye, though. Swift remained at the center of a few big celebrity stories in 2016, including her breakup with Calvin Harris, her fling with Tom Hiddleston, and the resurrection of her long-running feud with Kanye West. Thankfully, now it seems she's back to focusing on the music.

That's all we know about the video for now, but thankfully we won't have to wait long to see it in its entirety. Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik's "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" music video will premiere at midnight eastern standard time tonight.
