5 Fast Things To Know About Pippa Middleton's Wedding
The high-society wedding of the year is upon us. Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of Princess Catherine, is set to marry her hedge-fund operator fiancé, James Mathews. It should be an event to remember, so let's review some of the most important aspects before the big day.
The Royal Family Will Be Involved
Many recall Pippa Middleton helping her big sister during her wedding to Prince William in 2011. Due to royal etiquette, Kate Middleton is unable to repay the favor by participating in Saturday's wedding. Still, Pippa Middleton managed to recruit two adorable wedding party replacements: her niece and nephew. Three-year-old Prince George will be a pageboy, while two-year-old Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid. Reportedly, the Duchess of Cambridge worries about how her two kiddos will behave. However, we are sure it will be a delight.
Pippa Middleton Is Going High-end with the Dress
Jaws everywhere dropped when Pippa Middleton stepped out in the beautiful dress she wore as a bridesmaid in Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding. The garment made her an instant fashion icon, so many people wonder what she will wear for her wedding. Although we do not know the brand yet, we can make some guesses. Some people think she will wear a design by Giles Deacon, who visited her home last year. On the other hand, people spotted Pippa Middleton shopping Suzanne Neville. Plus, Stephen Jones spent time with Pippa Middleton's mother in recent times. So, although the jury is still out regarding the brand, we bet the look will be dazzling.
The Wedding Venue Is Epic
The wedding ceremony will take place at St. Mark's Church, Englefield. The church is historic and underwent a restoration way back in 1857 by Sir George Gilbert Scott. It has Gothic features, such as stained-glass windows, and a gorgeous, old-fashioned ambiance. The church can hold 350 people, but people expect a group of about 150 to attend the ceremony. Afterward, everyone will move to the £6million home of the Middleton sisters' parents. The estate is in Buckleberry, Berkshire, about six miles away from the church. Pippa Middleton picked out the dinner menu, and she even included some items from her very own cookbook.
The Ring Costs Quite a Bit of Money
James Mathews proposed to Pippa Middleton with a four-carat Asscher-cut diamond stone that has a halo of diamonds at the center. Its price is somewhere around the £200,000 mark, so says The Sun UK. Based on this beauty, we can assume the wedding band itself will also be glam.
It Will Be a Star-Studded Event
Apparently, there are invitations for famous people other than Prince William, Princess Catherine, Prince Harry, and the kids. However, the specifics of the each invitation is different from person to person. The event is a non-royal private wedding, but because it has royal-level media attention, Pippa Middleton had to be picky about who could come to both the ceremony and the reception. Meghan Markle of Suits fame will be Prince Harry's plus one at the reception, but she reportedly did not receive an invitation to the ceremony. At the same time, James Mathews brother, British television personality Spencer Mathews, will be at both the ceremony and reception, but it is unclear whether he is allowed to bring his girlfriend, fellow television personality Vogue Williams. We are getting more and more excited to hear about this event. It sounds like it will be beautiful. We'll be sure to bring you updates.
