Teen Mom Amber Portwood Doesn't Even Know How Many Times She's Broken Up With Her Fiance
Reality television personality Amber Portwood and her fiancé, Matt Baier, have been vocal about their rocky relationship. They had planned to wed in October of this year, but Portwood decided the time was not right. Perhaps there were clues the October wedding would not happen. For example, before recently calling off the wedding, the 27-year-old Teen Mom OG cast member spoke about the storms she and Baier had weathered. In that interview, Portwood explained the couple had let their romance simmer multiple times in the past, and in fact, the MTV figure found it hard to recall how many times she and Baier had split up. Here's what she said:
Amber Portwood dished about her on-again-off-again relationship during an interview on a podcast by fellow reality television personality Brandi Glanville, a former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Portwood called off the wedding not long after the interview. Still, from what Portwood said in the interview, it sounds like she probably wants to work out the problems in her relationship with Matt Baier. The couple has admitted to having problems in the past, but Portwood and Baier have both maintained they are committed to each other whether or not there is a wedding ring involved. Furthermore, in the interview, Portwood explained,
Before planning to marry in this year, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier intended to marry in August of 2016. However, Portwood supposedly called off the wedding back then when reports alleged Baier was in legal trouble due to unpaid child support bills for children he fathered with other women and hid from Portwood. Plus, last winter, there was a huge blowout fight between Portwood and her fellow Teen Mom OG cast member Farrah Abrams on a reunion episode of the show, and that fight took a turn for the worse when Matt Baier involved himself in the quarrel and hit someone. So, it seemed understandable when Portwood and Baier announced they were pumping the brakes for a while last year.
Still, based on everything Amber Portwood said in this interview, it sounds like calling off the ceremony might not be the end of the line for her and Matt Baier. Hopefully, their couple's counseling endeavors help them move forward in a positive direction--whatever that might be.
