Dwayne Johnson has had a tremendous 2017. Now Johnson's year--and family--is getting bigger with the news he and his singer-songwriter girlfriend Lauren Hashian are expecting another child. Johnson revealed the news by uploading an adorable social media photo. Take a look:
How cute! The little lady in the Instagram photo is Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian's first child together, one-year-old Jasmine-- check out her beautiful blue eyes. She looks thrilled about adding a little sister to the family. This will make Jasmine the middle child, as Johnson also is Dad to 16-year-old Simone from a previous relationship.
But the fun does not stop with the announcement. At the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre, Dwayne Johnson later joked with ET and said he feels such a kinship with his close friend and co-star Kevin Hart that he was considering naming his daughter after the comedian. Johnson teased,
I talked to Lauren -- we may name her Kevina... out of the honor and respect I have for my bestie here.
Kevin Hart and his wife, Eniko Parrish, recently welcomed a newborn baby boy, Kenzo. Thus, Hart and Dwayne Johnson will soon get to swap stories about their infants. Hart also has two children with his first wife, and the addition of Kenzo made three kiddos for Hart. Once Johnson's newest edition is born, he and Hart will again be on the same page when it comes to the number of kids in their family.
As mentioned, this year has been exceptional for Dwayne Johnson. He found success in movies like The Fate of the Furious and Baywatch, and he recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was the subject of social media discussion when people began asking if he might one day run for President of the United States. Furthermore, Johnson showed off his softer side by donating money to hurricane relief funds, making jokes about the 2017 solar eclipse, and doing good deeds for the elderly.
Tthe Moana star reportedly was the highest paid actor in Tinseltown (for a while anyway), and he finished the year strong. Disney snagged Johnson for its next ride-to-film adaptation, Jungle Cruise, and he already has movies like Rampage to look forward to for 2018. Therefore, getting the news that he and his girlfriend are set to have another baby must have been the cherry on top of a great year.
