Will Smith Explains What He's Learned Over 20 Years Of Marriage To Jada Pinkett Smith
Will Smith has been famous for a long time, but it's hard to believe he's spent a huge chunk of that time with Jada Pinkett Smith by his side. The celebrity power couple celebrated 20 years this weekend, and Will Smith took to social media to share everything he's learned about being a married man.
Will Smith is always a guy who is a little bit philosophical, especially regarding what he has picked up and learned over the years. Earlier this month, he spoke out about being proud of his son Jaden, noting that he has had the creativity and freedom to do things his own way in Hollywood. Clearly, family is a big deal to him and he's learned a lot during his time of being a shared unit with Jada Pinkett Smith. Among the comments he made about his marriage on Instagram, what sticks out the most are his ideas about love, with the actor noting that love is "listening," "giving" and "freedom." If that's what keeps him in a family unit for twenty years, so be it.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have had to deal with various rumors over the years. The couple has had to deal with rumors that they are swingers, and Jada Pinkett Smith addressed the subject of her marriage earlier this year, noting that she and her husband have an "unconventional" relationship (although she has previously denied those rumors). It seems that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are in agreement about figuring out what works to keep a relationship together, as she mentioned on Lorraine over the summer:
The whole Smith family also has to deal with being under the spotlight at all times, as well, as both their son Jaden and their daughter Willow have careers in Hollywood. Jaden Smith has recently been in The Get Down and has projects like Life in a Year coming up. Willow Smith spent 2017 on a music tour.
As for Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, the former's new big budget venture Bright recently hit Netflix, to interesting critical results and viewing habits. His longtime wife is still celebrating the win that was Girls Trip earlier this year, and finished up her run on Fox's Gotham last season. The Smith family isn't going anywhere, and if Will Smith's comments hold true, neither is their marriage.
