2012 MTV VMA Winners Updated Live

The MTV Video Music Awards might not be as classy or well thought of as other ceremonies, but in a way, that’s part of the event’s charm. The difference between winning and losing isn’t enough to alter careers or create grudges; so, everyone casually shows up and has an extremely good time. Considering how seriously many performers take themselves, that’s most assuredly a good thing, and it makes for interesting television.

This year, comedian Kevin Hart has been tapped to serve as host, and he’ll help pace the show out between the actual awards and performances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Frank Ocean and more. If you’re unable to watch the ceremony, are only casually interested or have to wait until the West Coast feed starts to play, you can pop in here throughout the evening.
