How Selena Gomez's Mom Feels About Her Daughter Getting Back With Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been the talk of the town in recent weeks, as they have seemingly continued to rekindle a relationship with one another. There's one person who has been rather unhappy about the new union, however, and that person is none other than Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey, who recently revealed exactly how she's feeling about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez getting back together. Gomez's mom says she's "not happy" about the Biebs being back in Gomez's life and she hasn't spoken with the young man. However, she says she trusts her daughter to make good choices for herself, noting,
There's a lot that has been said about Mandy Teefey and her opinions related to Justin Bieber in recent weeks, including the story that she suffered a health scare after finding out her daughter had gotten back with the "Sorry" singer. However, Gossipcop actually spoke with Teefey regarding her feelings about Bieber. She revealed that when Selena Gomez underwent her major kidney surgery during 2017, she was more interested in how her daughter was doing than rekindling her own relationship with Justin Bieber, whom she confirms she hasn't spoken to "in years."
Selena Gomez suffers from Lupus, and back in September, she revealed she had gotten a kidney transplant thanks to help from her friend Francia Raisa. Also last year, Selena Gomez began working to make other changes in her personal life, breaking up with The Weeknd and moving forward with Justin Bieber. Gomez had previously been in a relationship with Bieber between 2010 and 2015. Mandy Teefey also insists that whether or not Justin Bieber is back in her daughter's life, it's up to her daughter to decide what works. She said:
Mandy Teefey was previously Selena Gomez's mom and manager. In 2015, Gomez dropped both of her parents as managers and went in a more adult direction with her career. In the time since, she released the album Revival and then in 2017 released a slew of additional singles. Last year was a big one for Selena Gomez, but with Justin Bieber by her side, perhaps in 2018 she'll be even more in the limelight. One thing is for certain, even when her mother disagrees with the direction of her life, she doesn't seem to be willing to cause harm to their personal relationship and get in the way of Selena Gomez's own choices. We'll let you know what else the singer and actress is up to in the coming months, but for now, you can catch her producing 13 Reasons Why Season 2 for Netflix.
