Teen Mom's Jenelle Evans Admits To Drug Use While Pregnant
Jenelle Evans, the star of MTV's Teen Mom 2, made a candid confession last week. During a recent podcast appearance, Evans admitted that she tested positive for Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a chemical in cannabis known for treating nausea and vomiting, while she was pregnant with her third child last year. Reportedly this caused her to receive visits from Child Protective Services. But Evans says that her daughter Ensley did not test positive for THC.
The reality TV star told this confession to Vince Russo in an interview on his podcast, The Brand. Jenelle Evans revealed that she had cannabis in her system due to intense physical spasms. These spasms were so painful that Evans says she couldn't even do basic things like eat. Even though CPS did regular checks on Evans after her pregnancy, they didn't find any reason to continue their research. They later shut down the case completely.
Jenelle Evans says that she has received several visits from CPS. However, that's not from her drug use. Rather, that's from "haters online" who claim she is harming her children. As you can imagine, Evans doesn't take too kindly to those individuals. She also stressed that she is healthy and clean.
This is not the first time Jenelle Evans has opened up about her past drug use. The mother of three has a history of heroin addiction, something the reality TV show has covered in the past. It's worth noting, though, that Evans doesn't agree with how she is often portrayed on there. In her book Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom, which was released last summer, the Teen Mom 2 star admitted to using heroin "four or five times" a day at the height of her addiction. In addition to 1-year-old Ensley, Evans is also the mother of eight-year-old Jace and three-year-old Kaiser.
