Anne Hathaway Preemptively Claps Back At Body Shamers
Anne Hathaway is ready to silence her haters. On Instagram, the Academy Award-winning actress announced that she is currently in the midst of preparing for her next role, which involves her gaining some weight. While she admits it's going well, Hathaway knows how the Internet works. And she's already ready to clap back at the haters who will make rude comments about her. Now, in a new video, she preemptively shuts the haters down.
In the new Instagram video, which sees the actress working out at the gym, Anne Hathaway made the following remarks about her recent weight gain.
Anne Hathaway didn't end it there, though. Hathaway confesses she had a delightfully on-the-nose song choice in mind, but it sadly wouldn't fly.
It is certainly interesting to see Anne Hathaway take the haters down a peg before they even had a chance to speak. It's refreshing, even. As for the upcoming role-in-question, it's not clear what the weight gain is for. Last year, The Princess Diaries actress signed on to the title role in Barbie, which was previously set to star Amy Schumer. The doll-inspired live-action movie is slated to arrive in theaters on May 8th, 2020, though production might be starting soon. Hathaway is also signed on to the upcoming sci-fi thriller O2, which is centered on a woman who wakes up in a cryogenic chamber with no recollection of how she got there. Hathaway is also attached to the crime drama The Lifeboat and Live Fast Die Hot, which is based on the book by Jenny Mollen.
Here is Anne Hathaway's Instagram workout video, which sadly features no musical accompaniment.
In any case, no matter what Anne Hathaway is preparing for at the moment, we'll be sure to give it our attention. She was most recently in last year's excellent (and sadly underappreciated) Colossal. Hathaway also has quite a few upcoming movies this year. That includes the upcoming drama-thriller Serenity, also starring Matthew McConaughey, which comes out on September 28th. She'll also appear alongside Rebel Wilson in The Hustle, previously titled Nasty Women, which is a female-centric remake of 1988's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. That is expected to arrive in theaters on June 29th. Hathaway will next be seen, however, in Ocean's 8, which comes out on June 8th. So there is no shortage of Anne Hathaway to be seen this year.
