Everyone has awkward stories about their exes. But Gwen Stefani's story about one of Blake Shelton's ex-flings might rival all of them. As Stefani confessed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! yesterday, her partner and fellow The Voice coach Blake Shelton once had a girlfriend that was obsessed with Gwen Stefani. And we mean obsessed. Here's how the "Hollaback Girl" described Blake Shelton's Stefani-loving ex-girlfriend on the late night talk show.

Yeah. That's pretty weird. We're not gonna lie. Thankfully, Gwen Stefani seems to have a good sense of humor about it in this talk show clip. Stefani and Blake Shelton have been partners since 2015, shortly after Stefani separated from her husband, Gavin Rossdale, whom she married in 2002. The relationship between Shelton and Stefani is one that has garnered no shortage of rumors and gossip, though it doesn't appear as though they are taking their relationship to the next level yet -- at least, not anytime soon. Though the couple have reportedly considered it.

Though there were reports that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were secretly married last year, they appear to be debunked. Most recently, Shelton explained to Ellen Degeneres (via People) that the musician couple is waiting to get married or have children. Shelton has no children while Stefani has three, including 11-year-old Kingston, 9-year-old Zuma and 4-year-old Apollo. Here's how Blake Shelton explained it to Ellen Degeneres on the show.

Gwen Stefani certainly seems interested in tying the knot, so maybe it'll happen sooner than later. We'll see what becomes of their relationship as it continues onward. For now, though, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are taking their relationship pretty casual, but that could change. The singers come from two entirely different musical backgrounds, but they have found some common ground anyway. That's pretty romantic, right? At the very least, Gwen Stefani knows she is dating the proclaimed Sexiest Man Alive. At least, according to People magazine, obviously. So at least the pop musician can tower that over Blake Shelton's former Gwen Stefani-obsessed girlfriend, wherever she might be in this world.
