Sandra Bullock Clarifies The Infamous Penis Facial, Kind Of
Last month, you might've heard an odd story involving Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and something called "penis facials." During production on next month's sequel/reboot Ocean's 8, Bullock received a customized facial spa treatment from New York's Georgia Louise Atelier, one that keeps the skin glistening and glowing. Although it's actually called the Hollywood Epidermal Growth Facial, a.k.a. the Hollywood EGF, that bulky name doesn't roll off the tongue quite as easily as "penis facial," and it was given that fortunate/unfortunate nickname by Sandra Bullock because, for one thing, it smells like sperm.
Cate Blanchett discussed getting a "penis facial" last month during an interview, and the Internet ran wild, of course. We hadn't heard Sandra Bullock's side of the story yet, but that changes today, as Ellen Degeneres asked the A-list star about the unusual, much-discussed skin treatment on Ellen. The talk show host was hoping to get some answers, and while Sandra Bullock was ultimately willing to talk about it on the daytime talk show program, the actress still left a few questions open. Here's what Sandra Bullock said when asked about the odd skin care she received during her time in New York City last year.
Well, that's certainly one way to sell a product. We'll give Sandy Bullock that. The Blind Side Oscar winner is apparently "obsessed" with this facial, although she couldn't convince everyone in her Ocean's 8 ensemble in partake in the process. Though she was able to persuade those cast members whom she thought "would appreciate it." While Sandra Bullock was noticeably a bit tongue-tied when she tried to explain what it is, Ellen Degeneres wasn't afraid to say exactly what it was: foreskin from a Korean baby. With that little moment of awkwardness out of the way, Sandra Bullock continued to explain -- as best she could -- what's involved with the procedure. Bullock wasn't quite as successful as she hoped she would be.
Anyway, here's Sandra Bullock talking to Ellen Degeneres on the daytime talk show. The penis facial talk starts around the 2:46 mark. (How many times do you get to write that sentence in your life?)
Ocean's 8 swims into theaters on, appropriately enough, June 8th.
