Gwyneth Paltrow Responds To Being Labeled The World's Most Hated Celebrity
Gwyneth Paltrow has a good number of fans, but she also has a legion of haters. The actress and founder of the lifestyle brand Goop has received a great deal of acclaim and ire at the single mention of her name, and she's aware of her reputation. In a recent interview, Paltrow discussed being labeled with the moniker "the world's most hated celebrity" -- something she (understandably) takes offense to, if only because she finds herself saying "Really?" Here's the quote from Paltrow herself, assessing how in the world she was given such a demeaning distinction, especially in today's culture.
This topic came up during Gwyneth Paltrow's recent conversation with The New York Times, where she admits that, while she's still completely baffled by her online reputation, she doesn't find herself bothered the way she used to be. The quote once came from Star Magazine, and she admits that she still finds it completely confusing. Nevertheless, she's not letting the noise get in the way of her life and ambitions. The 45-year-old actress and C.E.O. is living out her life as a working actress, businesswoman, and mother to two children, Apple (14) and Moses (12). Those three components of Paltrow's life remain her focus, along with her relationship with her fiancee, producer Brad Falchuk. She's not letting all the haters take up too much of her time.
If Gwyneth Paltrow has one regret, it's that she didn't have a third child. She felt she should've had a third child earlier in life. In the interview, she told the interviewer and the readers that if they feel like having another bundle of joy in their lives, they should make that happen.
While Gwyneth Paltrow has rarely been a shy person in her life, the actress and Goop figurehead has found herself opening up more about her past, as well as her private life, recently. For instance, on The Howard Stern Show a couple of months earlier, Paltrow talked about her failed relationship with Ben Affleck. The actors appeared in Shakespeare in Love and Bounce together, and they were dating for three years before calling it quits. Ultimately, Paltrow said the relationship was "very much a lesson" for her, and while there was love between them, it sadly didn't work out in the end.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow also discussed the time Brad Pitt defended her after an altercation with Harvey Weinstein in a hotel room. She also recently had Oprah Winfrey appear on the first episode of The Goop Podcast. The former talk show host discussed the advice she received from the late, great Maya Angelou. Additionally, as an actress, Paltrow was briefly seen in Avengers: Infinity War. She'll next be seen in its new sequel next year.
