Justin Bieber And Hailey Baldwin Won't Rush To The Altar
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin weren't romantically intertwined for long when Bieber got down on one knee and proposed to his model girlfriend in the Bahamas earlier this summer. To be more specific, Bieber and Baldwin were only dating for roughly a month when the question was proposed, and it didn't take long for Baldwin to emphatically say 'yes.' Now that they're engaged, the pop singer and his loving fiancee aren't rushing to the altar. According to recent reports, Bieber and Baldwin aren't looking to get married until next year at the earliest, taking their sweet time to say their vows.
Here's what we know about Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's future wedding plans, according to TMZ. While some people might assume that the delayed wedding ceremony might have something to do with nagging second thoughts, those close to the couple suggest that's far from the truth. Much like Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth or Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande, the celebrity couple believes the engagement itself is enough commitment for now, and they're not trying to rush the nuptial ceremonies. Instead, they seem to be savoring the moment and getting married when it feels right.
Additionally, while the engagement process seemed a bit sudden to fans and followers who were still caught up in the drama between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, it's apparently a mistake to believe Hailey Baldwin and the pop singer might've jumped the gun by getting engaged so early in their relationship. As one source close to the couple admitted, Bieber has allegedly harbored feelings for Baldwin for quite some time, so it wasn't really out of the blue. The couple has apparently been a fling on-and-off several times now -- away from the public's wandering eye -- and they have reportedly shared feelings for each other for a longer period than many might guess. In fact, some people close to Bieber believe the musician might've had feelings for Baldwin even when he was with Selena Gomez.
Furthermore, it's apparent that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin share a very intimate relationship together. When photos were taken of Bieber and Baldwin crying together in the park, Bieber explained them by saying that this intimate moment is part of the "good days and bad days" that come with marriage. He claims that "it's not real if it doesn't have any bad days" while holding up a dog-eared copy of the self-help book, The Meaning of Marriage: Facing the Complexities of Commitment with the Wisdom of God, written by Timothy Keller with Kathy Keller. Evidently, Bieber is taking marriage seriously, and he doesn't want to make it sound like he got engaged with Baldwin on the whim. Hopefully, it's part of Bieber's growth.
That includes getting the blessing of Stephen Baldwin, Hailey Baldwin's father. Justin Bieber reportedly met with The Usual Suspects actor weeks before he popped the question, asking for his acceptance as he embarked on this new journey. Bieber is apparently an old-fashioned gentleman in that regard. Father Baldwin gave out his blessing happily, and it wasn't long after that father-and-future-son-in-law encounter that the proposal happened.
