Alec Baldwin's Relationship Advice To Hailey Baldwin And Justin Bieber
Alec Baldwin has marriage advice for his niece, Hailey Baldwin, who is currently engaged to pop singer Justin Bieber. Much like fans online, the 30 Rock actor is caught up in the ongoing romance gossip, with the notable difference that Hailey Baldwin is his blood relative. And Justin Bieber will also be part of his family momentarily, depending on when the model and the musician decide to tie the knot. Therefore, Baldwin has the authority to heed a little knowledge to the young celebrities getting ready to ring a few wedding bells. And it's up to the soon-to-be newlyweds to decide whether or not they take the advice from the seasoned actor. Here's what the television personality told his young niece on the red carpet.
The quote came during Alec Baldwin's red carpet appearance for The Public, a drama written, directed by and starring Emilio Estevez, which recently screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. Playing a supporting role in the newly-premiered film, the actor was fielding questions on the carpet, and sure enough, one interviewer asked him how he felt about Hailey Baldwin's swift engagement from earlier this summer. As the man who serves as a Donald Trump impersonator of late on Saturday Night Live explained to etalk, Baldwin felt Justin Bieber's high-profile might cause the young couple a bit of trouble, particularly if he and Hailey Baldwin race to say their vows before they fully understand what's at stake with marriage. And he wants the couple to take time to consider what they're going to do and to decide if they are taking the right steps forward. Though he doesn't dismiss their plans.
Marriage is no small commitment, and Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are embarking on a big journey if they decide to get married soon. The advice Alec Baldwin gives is certainly similar to what the public has spouted online, though it might have a little more weight since Alec is a relative of the bride-to-be. Nevertheless, it's ultimately Bieber and Baldwin's decision to make. And if they feel inclined to get married, then so be it. It is their choice, after all. And it will be their decision to make in the long run. But that isn't going to stop Alec Baldwin from answering these questions.
With that said, it does sound like Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are taking the steps to marriage seriously. Recently, Bieber and Baldwin were spotted crying on a park bench by paparazzi photographers. When the musician was asked why the tears were shed, he propped up a book called The Meaning of Marriage: Facing the Complexities of Commitment with the Wisdom of God by Timothy Keller with Kathy Keller. He explained that there are good days and there are bad days when it comes to marriage (as well as life) and that day was a bad one. But you need the bad days to enjoy the good ones, he admits, and Bieber doesn't seem to have any second thoughts about getting down on one knee to ask Hailey Baldwin the big question.
Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin wasn't the only one asked about Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber's engagement. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Kendall Jenner was also asked how she felt about her friend/fellow model's recent life decision, and Jenner provided her own thoughts on the matter at hand.
