Cardi B Surrendered To Police Following Strip Club Attack
Following a recent altercation at a strip club, Cardi B is under arrest and is facing two misdemeanor charges. As it is being reported today in a surprise series of events, the best-selling rap artist turned herself over to the police and she has officially been charged with assault and reckless endangerment. The details involving this high-profile arrest are still coming forward at this point in time, but here's what we know about this situation with Cardi B.
The "Bodak Yellow" musician was taken into custody following an incident at Angels Strip Club in Queens, New York. As it was reported by TMZ earlier today the fight itself allegedly involved two bartenders at the club, Jade and Baddie G, whom Cardi B has feuded with in the past. More specifically, there was a rumor flying around that Cardi B believes Jade may have once slept with Offset, the chart-topping rap artist's fiance/husband. Cardi B was reportedly in the establishment to see Migos perform. It's unclear what exactly caused emotions to boil during this incident at the strip club, but tensions were high and Cardi B got into a fight. The artist even told her posse to attack the bartenders with bottles, chairs and even a hookah. While the bartenders were hurt during this attack, the reports claim that neither sought out medical attention.
Joe Tacopina, who serves as the attorney for both Jade and Baddie G, issued the following response to the press, though mainly directed at Cardi B:
At the time of this reporting, Cardi B has been fingerprinted and had her mug shot has been taken by the police. The musician is also already scheduled to be arraigned on October 29th. As for the fight itself, it was considered "spontaneous." Cardi B wasn't planning to attack the bartenders when she entered the strip club, even though she does have a history with at least one of the bartenders who was hurt during this violent fight. Instead, the fight came after someone reportedly threw a drink.
Meanwhile, this isn't the only fight Cardi B has been involved in recently. She also got into a tussle with Nicki Minaj at the New York Fashion Week, where a shoe was thrown and an outburst of feelings was expressed by both best-selling musicians. It's clear that Minaj and Cardi B were not on good terms to begin with, and this incident brought out a lot of anger and resentment in a very public manner.
