Have Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Come To A Custody Agreement?
After months of hardships between the once-married celebrity couple, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have reportedly agreed upon a settlement in their custody agreement. Regardless, the details are still under wraps at the moment, at least from the public eye, as it is a sensitive time for Ben Affleck. The actor and director is currently in his third rehab stint, and he appears to be taking the process seriously as he focuses on his health and current well-being.
Here's what we know about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's recent custody agreement. As it was reported by TMZ, it has long been suggested that Affleck and Garner would share custody of their three children: Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six. Of course, these matters are very delicate and it's never easy to deal with custody settlements when one parent is notoriously known for, let's say, indulging his vices. Therefore, they've spent time working out an agreement.
Jennifer Garner reportedly wanted to take some time to focus on Ben Affleck's recovery and sobriety before they let the ink dry in their custody agreements. While the high-profile couple is no longer an item, Garner still seems to be looking out for Affleck -- namely, because she wants to make sure their children are in safe and dependable hands when their time is divided between the separated parents.
When it comes to child custody, there are two components: legal custody and physical custody. When it comes to legal custody, there are reportedly no issues in place for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. They have agreed to mutually agree on topics that relate to the children, which includes their schooling and other stuff in which they take part in. As for physical custody, well, that's where things start to get a little difficult for these two.
It's unclear what the physical custody agreement is between Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck at this time, although it's implied that Jennifer Garner will get the majority of the custody time with the children -- at least, at first. As Affleck is still in treatment and looking out for his own best interest, it is understandable that Garner might want to take care of things between the children at the moment until it's confirmed that Affleck is sober and functional. Once he is settled down into his new lifestyle and it is evident that he is able to raise these children in a safe, productive household, they could always revisit the decision.
Recently, Ben Affleck provided an update from rehab, celebrating 40 days of sobriety and thanking all his fans and followers for their support and guidance into sober living during this trying time. Meanwhile, for more celebrity news breaks and updates, be sure to check back with CinemaBlend.
