Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2019 Nominees Include Stevie Nicks, Radiohead And More
Every year, the rock community gets together to honor a handful of their legendary talents. From their contributions to the craft, to the uniqueness of their sound, to the impact they have held on pop culture for years upon decades of time, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is all about celebrating the great musical talents throughout the years. And this year's nominees are certainly among the most iconic musicians of the past two-to-four decades. Here are the official 2019 nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and remember, you have a chance to vote on who should be recognized here.
The prestigious announcement came from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier today, and it celebrated several musicians recognized for the first time, as well as musicians nominated years prior but who didn't make the cut. Of course, with several nominations in place and only a few available slots for the respective placeholders, a number of these musicians won't be making the cut when the winners are announced on March 29th, 2019-- followed by an honorable ceremony held in Brooklyn's Barclays Center and broadcast on HBO. That's where you come in the fold, dear music lovers.
If you wish to participate in the voting process in order to determine who gets selected into the Class of 2019, you should go to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's website, where you can place your bid into the hat and help determine who will be among the lucky musician celebrated during March's event. If you wish to do it the old-fashioned way, however, you can visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, OH and place your picks there.
Some of the nominees have responded to their nominations, including Stevie Nicks. She (or a representative for her social media account) wrote the following response on her behalf.
Similarly, Def Leppard has also responded to the joyous news, asking their social media followers to vote on their behalf while the election is in place.
John Prine also offered his warm-hearted gratitude for being nominated in this selection process.
Congratulations to all of this year's nominees. There's no denying that getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a monumental achievement, and it's no small feat to receive a nomination, let alone a slot in the Class of 2019. With that in mind, be sure to place your picks on the website or at the museum to make sure your favorite musicians among the nominees get their moment in the spotlight during this year's honorary selection process. The voting process will be going on throughout the rest of the year, so be sure to get your friends and family in the action as well as the process continues.
