Kim Kardashian Issues Apology After Insensitive Comments
Kim Kardashian West wants to apologize. The star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians was caught saying the R-word during a recent Halloween gathering, and recently used a statement to apologize for saying the offensive word. She believes she is always growing as a person, and she hopes people will forgive her poor language, as she continues to develop as a person and learn from her past mistakes. Here's what Kardashian said.
The offensive comments were uttered during Kendall Jenner's Halloween party on Wednesday, as it was reported by Entertainment Tonight. The television personality was dressed up as Pamela Anderson for the event, but her outfit wasn't recognized by a number of people, which annoyed Kim Kardashian West to no end. In a series of videos that she posted on social media, she claims that the partygoers are "too fucking young" and that they should know who Pamela Anderson is. In a since-deleted video, Kim Kardashian is heard being annoyed and saying the offending word to an assistant.
This is not the first time one of the Kardashians has gotten into trouble for saying the r-word on their social media forms. Khloe Kardashian got into hot water for saying the offensive, derogatory word during an Instagram Live video, and Khloe also apologized on social media shortly thereafter. She said,
Thankfully, we are moving forward as a society and not using that word quite as flippantly. Kim Kardashian West shouldn't have said the word, especially when posting a video on social media, but she did apologize for the offending word and she appears to be sincere in her apology. While Kardashian admits she shouldn't have uttered that word in the first place, but she does seem genuinely sorry for saying it at all. And hopefully, the backlash will make sure she doesn't say it again anytime soon.
This is not the first time in 2018 that Kim Kardashian West has found herself in trouble on Instagram. But she is rarely in as much trouble as her husband, Kanye West, who seems to be fighting off one controversy after the other in 2018. We'll continue to keep you posted on their updates.
