This obviously led a whole bunch of people to speculate who could be the hand behind the pen. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was coy about the answer, however. Though she wasn't afraid to show the world the letter-in-question, she didn't want to reveal the identity of the individual.

It's not a confirmation, by any means, but that didn't stop people online from jumping to conclusions. Sure enough, there were rumors aplenty around the interwebs saying Styles and Jenner were an item.

For a full day, there were arguments and passionate defenses for the supposed celebrity couple. Alas, the fun didn't last long. On Tuesday, Kendall Jenner revealed the truth about the letter. On Instagram, yet again, she revealed the letter was signed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Piggott and Alas are fashion photographers. They have been involved with a number of high-profile cover shots over the years, including a Vogue cover for Jenner. Mystery solved, it would seem. For those who were hoping Jenner and Styles would be secretly ushering a love affair, such desires are not confirmed.
