How Margot Robbie Knows She's Not Ready For Kids (Yet)
Margot Robbie is at the current height of her career, and it doesn't look like things are going to slow down anytime soon. She is keeping herself busy with a number of projects, both big and small, and continues to build her status in Hollywood as both an A-list actress and a producer. So it makes sense that she isn't looking to have any children at this time. But Robbie isn't dismissing the notion; the actress is just waiting for the right time.
The topic came up during Margot Robbie's profile piece with Net-A-Porter. Promoting her new movie, Mary Queen of Scots, where she plays Elizabeth I alongside Saoirse Ronan's Mary Stuart, the actress talked about a number of different topics. And one of them was whether-or-not she'd have kids in the near future. Robbie explained that she wasn't planning to have any at the present time, but she recently adopted a pit-bull puppy with her husband, producer Tom Ackerley, which is the second dog they share. She admits that's already a handful, and that means children aren't in the cards right now.
But Margot Robbie is thinking ahead. The 28-year-old actress admits that, in 30 years' time, she would love to be sitting around a table filled with kids. It is definitely something she wants, if not right now. She is currently focused in the present and the current moment, and that doesn't include kids yet.
For now, Margot Robbie has her career in the center view. She is currently filming the untitled Roger Ailes biopic, which also stars Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and John Lithgow, and it's directed by Jay Roach. It is expected to come out around this time next year. Furthermore, she is also appearing in Quentin Tarantino's latest film, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, where she plays the late Sharon Tate.
Additionally, Robbie is set to reprise her role as Harley Quinn, not only in February's The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part but in the forthcoming Birds of Prey film, which carries the rumored subtitle of (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), which appears to poke fun at Birdman's famously long-winded subtitle.
So, yeah. That's a lot of work. And that's only scratching the surface for her blooming career. So, children aren't on the deck right now for the Harley Quinn actress. But never say never. The time will come, according to Margot Robbie. But that time hasn't exactly come about yet, for those wondering.
