Brad Pitt Reportedly Attended Jennifer Aniston's 50th Birthday Party

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt haven't been together much since they got divorced in 2005. But it sounds like they might still be, ahem, friends after all. During Jennifer's 50th birthday bash this past weekend, the guest list included a surprise name: Brad Pitt himself. And while his appearance at the birthday celebration was certainly a surprise to many people, it doesn't sound like it was a scandal. Here's what we know about Pitt's surprise visit.

As it was reported by The Daily Mail, Jennifer Aniston was celebrating her 50th birthday with a number of celebrity guests in Los Angeles on Saturday. The evening party was met by George Clooney, Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, Jason Bateman, Barbra Streisand, Kate Hudson and several more high-profile names, but it's undoubtedly Pitt's inclusion that is turning heads at the moment. Few expected to see him celebrating his ex-wife's latest birthday, which happens to be today, but that's exactly what went down during the past weekend's birthday festivities.

And while Brad Pitt is no longer married to Angelina Jolie, the woman whom Brad Pitt left Jennifer Aniston for, it doesn't sound like we should be expecting any resurfaced dating rumors to occur. Pitt is reportedly in a relationship with Charlize Theron now, and that allegedly started back in January. And while Jennifer Aniston is also recently single, having ended her marriage to Justin Theroux just last year, that doesn't mean the former partners are rekindling their love. Instead, it seems like these two high-profile celebrities/former media-friendly lovers were just being friendly. Not every former couple needs to get reacquainted in such intimate fashion. If they are cool with each other, that's good enough.

It has been unclear since Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston broke up officially nearly 15 years ago if the actors were on friendly terms together. While it might've been rough between them in the past, the actor's appearance at the birthday party suggests that things between them are good now. That's certainly encouraging to hear. Nobody wants these two celebrity to be totally at odds with each other, and that doesn't appear to be the case. And it is always an assurance to know that celebrities are civil and friendly with one another -- particularly after an extended romantic history together.
