Looks Like Ryan Seacrest Is Trying To Distance Himself From Blac Chyna's Lawsuit With The Kardashians
Have you ever been in a situation where two people you know are fighting and you don't want to get anywhere near it, knowing that you might get sucked into the vortex of their building tornado of frustration and fury? You know that if you get involved, you will get blown to smithereens in their ensuing wave of destruction, a catastrophe filled with resentment and discontent. It sees that's how Ryan Seacrest feels right now -- at least, when it comes to the continuously bitter feelings between Blac Chyna and the rest of the Kardashian family. And he knows that things between them won't get prettier.
By now, it's no secret that Blac Chyna and the Kardashians are deeply at odds with each other. The model has been trying to sue the famous household for what she believes is her fair share in their vast fortunes. But the Kardashians don't see it that way, and they have gone back-and-forth endlessly throughout the past few years -- with the legal system eventually finding itself in the mix.
The former Rob & Chyna star believes that she was robbed of what she was due for the defunct reality TV series, and the Kardashian clan see it another way. Sure enough, they'll let the court decide which party is right. With that, Kardashian v. Blac Chyna continues to ensue.
Now, you might ask yourself, how does Ryan Seacrest factor into here? The answer: Seacrest was an executive producer on the short-lived E! series. His involvement in the show means he might influence the court's decision one way or another. At least, that's what Blac Chyna reportedly thinks. But Seacrest is simply not giving in.
As it was reported by Us Weekly, via court documents they obtained, Ryan Seacrest believes there "simply is no legal or factual basis to subject" the American Idol host into this legal entanglement because he believes he has "nothing whatsoever to do" with this particular case, despite his name being on the one season TV series at the center of this case.
The legal team on Blac Chyna's side reporetedly wants the television personality and producer to present himself in court and provide his testimony. But Seacrest doesn't think he has any relevant information to offer; he would much rather step away from the whole thing entirely than get involved in any capacity.
It's unclear how long Ryan Seacrest will be able to stay away from this growing tension between Blac Chyna and the Kardashian family. It has been a rollercoaster of a case, with tensions rising and slowing at any given time, but it sounds like the embittered feelings between the reality TV family and the one-time reality TV star are starting to boil. Seacrest clearly doesn't want anything to do with this matter, but who knows how long he will be able to stay out of it. If something changes, we'll certainly be sure to keep you posted on the details right here at CinemaBlend.
