According to recent reports, Mama June is in a whole heap of trouble right now. The former Honey Boo Boo television personality was reportedly arrested when she was caught possessing crack cocaine. If convicted, she could be charged with felony penalties of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
As it was reported by People, June Shannon, better known as "Mama June," was arrested alongside her boyfriend, Geno Doak, at an Alabama gas station this past Wednesday. The police reported to the scene based on a reported "domestic incident," according to the report. When the authorities did an inspection of the vehicle, they found crack cocaine inside, along with a needle and a pipe.
That's certainly not something you want the cops to find in your car. Sure enough, Mama June and her man were arrested on the scene and they were taken in custody shortly thereafter. While it's not clear if Mama June or Geno Doak were the ones who were using the crack cocaine located inside the car, the needle and pipe would suggest that it's more-than-likely that they were using rather than selling.
Mama June was the owner of the vehicle, and she reportedly claimed ownership of everything found inside. The police allegedly found a glass pipe with white residue inside her pocket. It should also be noted that Geno Doak is currently facing charges of domestic violence and harassment in addition to the drug charges.
Mama June is most famously known for her appearances on Toddlers & Tiaras and its spin-off series, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The latter show was on the air for four seasons. Meanwhile, Mama June recently returned to the small screen with the series, From Not to Hot, on WE tv. The reality television program chronicled Mama June's 300-pound weight loss, which is something the television personality has discussed on that newly-aired show and elsewhere throughout the past year.
Although the arrest happened a few days earlier, it's unclear what Mama June's current legal situation entails at this time. That said, she is believed to be released, although there are likely court dates pending in the not-too-distant future. The charges Mama June is facing at the moment are pretty serious in nature, and the television star could be spending some time in jail if the authorities convict her of these reported crimes.
